Local courier, start to finish
A Local Courier for Everyday Toronto Runs
Most courier work in Toronto isn’t dramatic: a signed agreement for a client’s office, stock for a store, a print order for a launch event, a part a mechanic is waiting on. Cargaroo handles those runs for offices, shops, clinics and trade businesses, and for individuals with something important to send. The deliveries are made by our own background-checked couriers: see how Cargaroo compares with other couriers.
A one-off run goes through the online price tool. If the same addresses come up every week, our business courier service agrees the schedule and pricing with you in advance. Either way, sending a request doesn’t take a payment: the team checks the route, the package and the timing first, and you pay only once the price is confirmed.
- Three speeds (standard, express and scheduled), each checked against the route and courier availability. Working to a deadline? Read about same-day delivery in Toronto.
- Collections and drop-offs across downtown, midtown, North York, Scarborough and Etobicoke
- A private booking link to follow the status, then a confirmation when the item has been dropped off
Across the city
Local Courier Service Across Toronto’s Business Districts
A King and Bay pickup is a different job from a Scarborough industrial street. Here’s what helps in each area.
-
Downtown core & Financial District
Towers, law offices and agencies from Front Street to Queen, out to King West and Liberty Village. Say whether the courier should check in at the lobby security desk or a loading dock off a side street, and name the person who will come down to hand over or receive the item.
-
Midtown
Yonge and Eglinton, St. Clair, Davisville and Leaside mix offices, clinics and shops. If a contract has to go downtown and a box of supplies needs to come back, list both stops in one request instead of booking twice.
-
North York
From the towers at Yonge and Sheppard to the business parks of Don Mills, Consumers Road and Downsview, North York sits on Highway 401 between downtown and York Region. More on our North York courier service.
-
Scarborough
Commercial and industrial streets along the 401, Kennedy Road, Progress Avenue and the Golden Mile keep parts and supplies moving. Pricing uses actual driving distance, so cross-town runs are priced on the real route. See our Scarborough courier page.
-
Etobicoke
From the Humber Bay condo towers to the industrial areas off Highway 427 and Dixon Road near Pearson. Whether the next stop is west in Mississauga or east along the Gardiner, both directions are inside our coverage. Read about our Etobicoke courier service.
-
Beyond the city line
Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan, Markham and Richmond Hill are covered too, and routes elsewhere in Ontario, up to 500 km by road, get an instant price by distance: a Toronto to Hamilton delivery (about 68 km) starts at $73 before HST. Check your route.
Pricing
How Pricing Works
Rates start at $5 for up to 5 km and $10 for up to 10 km of driving, before HST, but a flat price can’t tell a hop between two downtown towers from a cross-city run, so the instant price tool estimates from your actual delivery details, with no account required. It factors in:
- Driving distance between pickup and drop-off, based on the actual route
- Package size and weight, and the number of packages
- Delivery speed: standard same-day, express or scheduled
- Any extra stops, plus applicable handling or timing charges
Prices are in Canadian dollars, and HST appears as a separate line where it applies. An estimate isn’t a confirmed booking: Cargaroo reviews availability and the final amount before payment. Extra Large packages (+$24 each), heavy items and routes elsewhere in Ontario are priced in the same tool, and recurring routes get a business quote. The distance bands and add-ons are set out in our courier rate card for Toronto and the GTA.

Toronto Local Courier FAQs
View All FAQsDo I have to pay $5 for every package, even if I have 10?
It depends on the distance, not on how many packages you have. Packages going from the same pickup to the same drop-off count as one delivery, and the first 22 lb in total are included (then $0.20 per lb). Every extra stop uses the same price list, measured from the stop before it: up to 5 km away is $5, and 5.1–10 km away is $10. For example, a drop-off 4 km away is $5, and a second stop 7 km past it adds $10, for $15 in total. Prices are before HST; enter every address in the calculator to see your exact total.
Do you deliver between downtown Toronto and North York, Scarborough or Etobicoke?
Yes. Our coverage includes Toronto and its North York, Scarborough and Etobicoke districts, so a downtown-to-North York or Etobicoke-to-Scarborough run is booked like any other. The price tool uses the actual driving route, and the delivery window is confirmed for your booking.
What should I include for a pickup at a downtown office tower?
Give the full address and postal code, the building or business name, the suite or floor, and a contact the courier can reach. Add loading-dock, reception or concierge instructions and any time restrictions when you book. Special access requirements must be confirmed.
Can a Toronto pickup go to Mississauga, Vaughan or Markham?
Yes. A Toronto pickup can go to Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan, Markham or Richmond Hill, and those cities can send into Toronto too. Stops elsewhere in Ontario are priced instantly as well, by driving distance; for a route you run every week, ask for a business quote.
Do you deliver for individuals, or only businesses?
Both. Cargaroo serves businesses and individuals across Toronto and the GTA, and personal deliveries use the same price tool and booking steps. Check that your item isn’t hazardous or prohibited and weighs no more than 200 lb; every package size, Extra Large included, is priced instantly.
Can a courier pick up from my home in Toronto?
Yes. Cargaroo collects from homes as well as offices, shops and clinics anywhere in Toronto, including North York, Scarborough and Etobicoke. Enter the pickup address in the instant price tool, add any buzzer, concierge or parking notes, and Cargaroo confirms the pickup window and the price before you pay. No account is needed.
Do I need an account to get a courier price in Toronto?
No. The instant price tool works without an account: enter the pickup and drop-off addresses, package details and speed to see an estimate. If you go ahead, Cargaroo reviews the request and confirms the price before payment, and you get a private link to check your booking status.
