4. Booking & Delivery Information
When you book a delivery, we collect information such as pickup and drop-off addresses, package details, delivery speed, additional stops and special instructions. This information is used to process your booking, calculate delivery charges and coordinate your delivery.
5. Client Accounts
Businesses with regular deliveries can have a client account at cargaroo.ca/account. Accounts are set up by CARGAROO only. For an account we keep the business name, the contact name and phone number, the email addresses allowed to sign in, how the business pays (card, cash, invoice or e-Transfer), price notes, and which bookings belong to the account. You sign in with a 6-digit code or a one-time link sent to your email; there is no password. We store only scrambled (hashed) copies of sign-in codes and sign-in tokens with their dates, and never your card details, your IP address or your device details per sign-in. Your browser keeps your sign-in for 30 days in its local storage, and you can sign out of one device or every device at any time.
Sign-in codes are deleted within a day after they expire, and expired sign-ins within 30 days. You can close your account yourself under Account details on that page, or by asking us. Closing it deletes your sign-ins, sign-in emails and account contact details. On the bookings linked to your account, it replaces the names, phone numbers, delivery instructions and notes with "Removed on request" and removes the email address. Booking numbers, dates, addresses, amounts, receipts and signed proofs of delivery are kept for six years, as Canadian tax rules require, and we keep a note of the free deliveries an email address already used. Other copies, such as a booking that was never linked to your account, are reviewed and removed when you ask us, except what tax rules require us to keep.
6. Payment Information
Payments are processed through our approved payment provider(s). We do not store your full credit card numbers or payment details on our servers. Payment processing is handled securely by our payment provider(s) in accordance with their security and privacy practices.
7. Google Maps & Location Data
We may use location and mapping services to support address lookup, route calculation and delivery planning.
8. Cookies & Analytics
Essential cookies and local storage support security, cookie preferences, delivery-request continuity and keeping you signed in to a client account. With your permission, we use Google Analytics to measure page visits and selected interactions, such as contact-link clicks and successful delivery or quote requests. Google may process technical information such as browser and device details, approximate location and cookie identifiers. Our analytics implementation excludes form contents, names, email addresses, telephone numbers, pickup and delivery addresses, and private booking links. When you arrive from one of our own Google ads, the ad click identifier Google adds to the link (such as gclid) is included, so we can measure which of our ads lead to delivery requests; it is not used to target ads to you. Advertising personalization is disabled. You may reject analytics using the cookie banner; clearing this website's cookies lets you choose again. Google may process analytics data outside Canada under its Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab).
